The Staffordshire Bull Terrier Hepatitos
Hepatitis

Hepatitis can be found in dogs and foxes and is a virus which is a highly infectious liver disease. The symptoms vary a lot but after a week the body temperature will increase and then start to fluctuate. Other symptoms include coughing, inflamed throat, moist eyes, lack of appetite and vomiting and/or diarrhoea, also the eyes will cloud over. The virus is spread by the infected dogs urinating and is spread very quickly. If the disease is treated early there is a chance of a full recovery. Its only if the disease infects the liver that it could be fatal especially in young dogs and puppies. The symptoms are very similar to Carre’s Disease.
